Harry Potter Party

We went to the annual Harry Potter Halloween Party this year. Last year we missed because of the fires. So, this year we were determined to go. Conor and Cade dressed up as knights. While their costumes weren't traditional Harry Potter, they did count as part of the chess pieces in the first movie (I think). Henry was a perfect Draco Malfoy. We had a little trouble keeping his hair slicked back. it looked pretty good the beginning of the night but by the end, it was stick straight up. He stilled looked totally cute.

Victor was Professor Snape and I was Professor Trelawney. I won the dress up contest! The only reason I won was because my kids were totally screaming for me lol. Anyway, I got an awesome Sirius Black wand for winning.

The party was a blast. The kids got to make their own potions (drinks) and the first Harry Potter movie was playing on the side of the house. Hmmmm...good idea. Maybe I should have an outdoor movie night next summer. I digress. Thanks Dusty and Jenny for the super fun party!

Lots of fun! We would have liked to have stayed longer, but don't like to mess with the boys bedtime too much--it throws everything else off! You looked great last night!

What a fun idea for a party! We love Harry Potter and can't wait for the new one to come out!

That sounds like a lot of fun! Our tradition is to wrap up in blanets and get hot cocoa (it is cold here) And watch a halloween movie outside. Usually Nightmare before Christmas, or the Charlie Brown. I think we need to try a Harry Potter Party next year
